Marlee and Jacob…. WOW this couple. As impossible as it may seem, they are even more lovely on the inside than they are on the outside. This wedding weekend and this couple had been prayed over for so long, it was a precious gift to watch everything unfold in the way that it did! Marlee had a near-death experience months before her wedding, her heart actually stopped beating during an emergency surgery, but the Lord was and IS so good through it all. Experiences like the one Marlee walked through are a sobering reminder that this world and the things of it are fleeting, but we have a wedding to look forward to, a Heavenly feast!! This side of eternity is only a glimpse. And that’s what Marlee and Jacob’s wedding felt like - a glimpse of Heaven, of friends and fellowship and joy and worship! The couples’ wedding day began with the girls getting ready at the Tomlinson home while the boys relaxed at Top Golf. The morning flew by and it was time for Marlee to put on her dress! This bride shared a first look with her dad and brother in the front yard of the home she grew up in, que the smiles. Then, everyone headed to the country club for portraits before going to the chapel to make it official!! Marlee and Jacob shared their moments together as bride and groom as Marlee walked down the aisle. Jacob’s dad was able to officiate and marry the couple! Afterwards, the newlyweds took portraits as guests mingled, and soon graced everyone with a first dance and cake cutting. Stringed instruments filled the air of the warm, June evening (again, Heaven! Or at least my personal Heaven;)). Marlee and Jacob enjoyed one last private dance before being sent off with sparklers! So much love for this very special couple.
